There has been no clear definition as to what cherubs may look like. Some sources even portray cherubs as putti which are celestial boys without wings. The earliest depiction of cherubs has been mentioned in the Torah and described in the creation of Noah’s Ark. The traditional Jewish depiction describes cherubs or cherubim as possessing youthful, human features while in the Book of Ezekiel, the cherub is seen to have many wings with four faces - a lion, an ox, a human, and an eagle. In the Bible, cherubs are often depicted with the wings or as a putto possessing baby-like faces and a plump body.
