Ho Tai Buddha, Laughing Buddha and Fat Buddha Statues and Gifts
| Ho Tai goes by many names such as Ho Tei (Japanese), the Laughing Buddha, the Fat Buddha and the Happy Buddha. Ho Tai is based on a Chinese monk, a lovable person, who would visit little children issuing them candles and sweets. Over time, this monk gradually began to be epitomized religiously and beautiful sculptures of the Happy Hotai showing the revered monk with the fat belly and holding his instruments that defined him so much like his "oogi", begging bowls and even the sack that he holds on his back, became legendary. Our range of Ho Tai statues including garden statues of the Happy Ho Tai as well as indoor statues of the adorable Laughing Buddha; for those who love the look of the Fat Buddha with his pronounced belly, consider our choice of the set of Fat Buddha figurines or the outdoor garden statues to set a prosperous and wealthy entry to the home. |
